I began making a wall-quilt when I was pregnant with my first child. I wanted my baby to have something special to play on (and with) that was made with as much love as a mother could have. The first quilt inspired the design for his entire layette, including a dust ruffle, bumper pads, crib quilt, mobile (made of cast paper) and a water color painting. To make the quilt even more fun, I created toys that correspond with the design. My son is now almost two years old and still plays with his first toys. I hope that you will experience the same joy I have had in giving your baby something special that comes from the heart and will be treasured through the years.
All of my quilts are made from 100% cotton, inside and out. I use bold colors as well as hand and machine stitching to appeal to a baby's desire to explore his or her world. All of the quilts are one-of-a-kind, made by hand, and are hand-signed. The fabrics are hand-dyed to achieve the most beautiful colors and everything is pre-washed. Washing instructions are included. Custom items include, dust ruffle, diaper bag, valance, wall-quilt (made ready to hang), reversible bumper pads, stuffed toys (for hanging on the wall and for play), fitted and semi-fitted top sheets, and pillow and pillow case (for older babies). Quality is the top priority in these designs. Extreme care is taken to see that all stitching and knotting is secure and complete.
Entire layettes are available based on any of the designs you see here. If you would like a personal design, contact me for consultation. All custom orders require a 50% deposit and 50% due upon delivery. Orders will be sent C.O.D. unless otherwise arranged.
